New York Marathon

Training back on track for NYC Marathon

09.05.08 | No Comments

My training, certainly the longer runs has gone a bit off piste lately due to work commitments and holidays.¬† I have done a lot of fast runs up to 8 miles and a lot of gym work but not too many runs over 10 miles.¬† With the Anglesey Marathon coming up on the 21st, I am having to step up the game so this weekend am going for an 18 mile run or that’s the aim anyway.¬† I’ll then have a rest day Sunday and crack on with the plan from Monday doing a 2 hr run next Sunday and then not really doing much in the week before Anglesey.¬† I am not intending to finish but am using it along with a couple of other guys who are doing New York as a training run.¬† Hopefully, I’ll do 18 miles and call it a day.¬† Who knows….
